Mama Dori's Jungle has important values and ideas. We are a rescue that wants to improve any animal's life that comes
through our doors. We believe dog training is a necessity for a well balanced, well mannered dog. We adopt to people who will
keep up with their training and not let them become animals with bad behavior.

No animal is disposposable, not ONE!
Why not other breeds or programs any more?
This was originally supposed to be a Bully, Mastiff and Rare Breed rescue. It grew into an all breed rescue
trying to provide every program possible and to help the community and trying to help all breeds with all of their different
needs. It's dreadful to even think about one organization trying to provide everything to everyone.
What programs are you going to provide now?
There are exciting plans for programs that will have an affect on anyone who touches them. I will not announce any
programs until it's time. I have seen with my own eyes that taking on too many projects at the same time gives
inadequate care to everything. We are committed to a more relaxed full provisions care.
You might also realize that taking in fewer animals and working with them as hard and long as we do also means we do
not have adoption fees coming in as often as another rescue would. But we still have high medical bills just like anyone else.
We will often take a dog that other rescues will not becuase of costly medical conditions. Please think about what it takes
to do this.
We provide more than food, water, and medical care. The dog's environment should be stress free and their minds should
always be learning and busy with positivity.

breeds can be a problem when considering dog attacks.
This is Vinny (Van Gogh). He only has one ear, so no one wanted him. He found his perfect match by having
somewhere to go until his people could find him. Vinny was picked by a daddy who could only hear out of one ear. It was the
same ear Vinny couldn't hear out of. Now that's a perfect match! The new family still stays in contact and always let us know
how he is doing. Thank you family!

Picture yourself and your dog below. YOU are its LIFE! So what is your DOG'S life
worth to you? Read below the picture to see if you can love your bully that much.
Every dog has the potential to get lost. Did you know that if you and your dog are separated it is up to others to decide
whether your dog should live or die? When you do these things for your dog, you really increase the chances that your dog
will be considered more "adoptable". Even if a stranger takes your dog in, if it is well behaved, they may hold onto the dog
for you to find. Badly behaved animals get disposed of.
If you want other people to value your dog as much
as you do, follow these steps:
Plese don't set your dog up to fail!
1. Give your dog training. It doesn't
have to know tricks. Teach them to live with humans and other animals peacefully. Teach your dog manners; like not jumping
on people, potty training, and getting along in every possible situation. Of course the more training the better. Training
also keeps your dog safe in threatening situations. If you can command your dog, you can save it from dangers by giving commands.
Dogs with training get picked by adopters much quicker, and get put down less often.
2. Give your dog medical
care. Dogs with too many needs sometimes need more than a shelter, rescue or home can provide.
3. Snip it
in the bud: Wait! LISTEN! If your dog is spayed or neutered, its chances at survival double. Not only does your dog benefit
in health for having this done, but it saves shelter costs also and that means if there is a choice between your dog or an
unaltered dog... think about it.
Zoey's Story
At age 5, she had already had approximately
8 litters of puppies. Her owner gave her to rescue because Zoey was only producing small litters of 1 or 2. By the time she
made it to rescue, her body was worn completely out. Zoey had a miscarraige that almost killed her. She was full term with
dead puppies and so emaciated that no one could have told she was even pregnant. She was dropping clots the size of puppies.
She went through an emergency D&C hysterectomy. She wasn't expected to make it through the night. She DID make it through
the night and is sitll making it through every night. She was adopted by our awesome volunteer/obedience trainer...
Kirsten
Kirsten is giving Betty Boop a bath before she takes her home to foster her. Betty is fortunate to have many people who love
her even if they can't keep her.
